This will be a short one as I’m a little under the weather. Not much to report on for today. At least in terms of any drives. I had a pretty strong headache so I stayed in my room most of the day. But I did go watch the staging of the group photo.

I ventured out to the Vendor area and grabbed a selfie with Mr. Tanner from Flyin’ Miata. I really wanted to have him sign my copy of his book, but forgot it unfortunately. I asked him a few questions about NDs and cylinder heads and then headed back to my room to grab some more Tylenol. Very nice guy, wish I could have talked to him more.

At around 4:00 I made my way over to the Event Hall for the raffle. I had 15 tickets and was hoping to walk away with something. That didn’t happen but it was still fun. There were a lot of great prizes handed out from a set of wheels from Flyin’ Miata to gift certificates to other vendors and even an Intake Manifold. I may not have won, but it was still a fun atmosphere and something cool to be a part of.

After that I grabbed dinner and now it’s time to start packing for my 6am departure from Fontanta tomorrow.
I took a LOT of pictures and in the next day or so I will post my favorites from the weekend as well as my overall thoughts on Miatas at the Gap as a solo first timer. It was a fun experience and I’m excited for the next one!
I’ll see you in the next update.
